Betty's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Hayhurst, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left us on June 7, 2025. Born on January 25, 1938, Betty was a ball of non stop energy - a special blend of strength, resilience, and compassion. She dedicated her life to the service of others, and her bright personality made her a beloved figure in the community.

Betty leaves behind an endearing legacy carried by her daughter, Faith Harmer, her son, Dexter Hayhurst, and her grandsons Tommy Harmer, Chase Harmer, Dalton Hayhurst, and Blaze James. Each will carry forward the qualities of resilience, strength, and kindness imparted by Betty. Predeceased by her loving husband, Denny Hayhurst, her life was a testament to love and perseverance.

Betty was known for her vibrant energy, hard work, toughness, sociability, and caring nature. She was a social butterfly who could brighten a room with her presence, and she wore her heart on her sleeve. Her lessons, of hard work, caring for others, enduring toughness through hard times, and loving unconditionally will forever resonate with those who knew her.

She found immense joy in being a mother and a grandmother. But her true legacy lies in her kindness and unselfishness, always prioritizing others' needs over her own, a characteristic that defined her.

Our hearts ache as we weren't ready to say goodbye to such a vibrant soul. We had envisioned many fun times ahead with her, but we take solace in knowing that she lives on in our memories and in the lessons she taught us.

A Memorial service to celebrate Betty's life will be held on June 14, 2025, at 10:00AM at Faith Assembly Tabernacle, 8595 Airport Rd. As we remember our dear Betty, we are reminded of her invincible spirit and unyielding love, which will continue to guide us in our lives.
