Betty's obituary

Betty Burnett "Mawmaw" Hadaway, 87, peacefully passed away on December 24, 2024. A devoted member of North Highlands Baptist Church, Betty lived a life full of faith, kindness, and love for her family and community.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, James W. "Jimmy" Hadaway.  Betty is survived by her three sons, Keith (Jackie) Hadaway, Tim (Karen) Hadaway, and Alan Hadaway; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Davis; and two brothers, Joe Dill and Jimmy Dill. She is also lovingly remembered by a number of nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, at North Highlands Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Reverend Bill Donaldson. Following the service, the family will proceed to Valhalla Funeral Home for the burial.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Disease research in Betty's memory.

Betty will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her legacy of love and faith will endure in the hearts of her family and friends.
