Our beloved mother, Betty Lewis entered into God’s Kingdom on October 11, 2022 from a stroke after a short battle with congestive heart failure. Betty was born to parents’ Barbara Price Byrum and Darrell Byrum on February 12, 1949 in Clarksville, Arkansas. When Betty was younger, her favorite activities were reading, sewing, and playing with her younger brothers. She attended Hartman High School and graduated with a secretarial degree. After graduating, she moved to Houston, Texas and pursued a career  at Dow Chemical. In 1974 Betty met Thomas Lewis a match truly made in heaven. Betty & Thomas went on to have one child, Tommie. Betty was a member of First United Methodist of Azle, Texas. Betty joins her husband Thomas along with her mother and father, Barbara and Darrell Byrum in Heaven. She is survived by many loving family members, including younger brothers, Richard and David Byrum, daughter Tommie Ashlock, step-son Nelson Lewis, grandchildren Blake and Jacob Lewis, Grace McPherson and Connor Ashlock, and great-grand daughter Emily McPherson.
