Betty's obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Betty Farr, who left us peacefully on April 7, 2024. Born on August 24, 1937, Betty lived a life filled with love, generosity, and commitment to her family and faith.

Known for her loving, gentle, kind, and generous nature, Betty always had time for others. Her enduring spirit and loving nature will be remembered by all who knew her.  She strongly believed in being kind and loving, a lesson she left behind for all.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Karen Weiss-Ferris, Fay Farr, Shirley (Lawrence) Breaugh, Tuesday Farr, and Theresa Carleson. Her legacy also lives on in the life of her son, David (Caroll) Farr. She was a loving grandmother to Patrick Farr, Shawn Farr, Joshua Farr, Levi Mowder IV, Aaron Farr, Kyle Farr, Anthony Carlson, Michel Breaugh, Caleb Breaugh, Layne Strong, and her granddaughters, Caitlin Farr, Hannah Carlson, and Mayah Carlson as well as her great grandchildren Hailey Mowder, Levi Mowder V, Nickayla Anderson, Sean Mowder, Leyla Mowder,  Kaitlyn Noel, Jayson Farr and Logan Farr. She also leaves behind her sister, Mary Fricks. She was preceded in death by her son, Patrick Farr, and her beloved spouse, Richard Farr.

Betty was a devoted Christian, always ensuring she was honoring the Lord in everything she did.  She gave many days and hours of service to Orange Street Church of God of Prophecy to both the church and its parishioners over many years of her life.

We take comfort in knowing that Betty's life was full of love and meaning, and her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. Her warmth, kindness, and gentleness will be dearly missed. Let us remember her not with sadness, but with gratitude for having been a part of her remarkable journey.
