It has been almost 3 years without my confidant, my biggest supporter, my guide. We still miss and will always love you, mom.
Betty took good care of her elderly mother when she became too ill to care for herself, driving an hour each way to visit and do grocery shopping, help her bathe and clean up her house.
Mom did the same for one of her beloved elderly neighbors who experienced a stroke.
When her brother was dying of lung cancer, she made sure to call him and talk every day until he passed. They reminisced about their childhood together.
Mom always made sure to visit anyone who was ill in the hospital and she cheered them up, helped them through the experience or just offered them comfort.
In response to "What act of kindness did you witness from Betty?"
She was my mom, so just about everything..
In response to "What did you learn from Betty?"

Betty’s little dog who lives with us reminds me most of her. Anytime I see roses or a perfectly manicured yard, or a spotless house, I think of mom. Alot of things I do myself remind me of Betty, as we were alike in so many ways. Anytime something happens I my life, I think “I need to tell Mom about this”.
In response to "What always reminds you of Betty?"
Back in Ohio, on a snow day off from school for me, mom( Betty) would makes us snow cones after lunch. I still remember watching her out in the sparkling snow in her boots and hat. We had alot of  fun together on those days. She was always full of  surprises and always up to something.
