Betty's obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Betty Cyprian, who left us peacefully on October 24, 2025. Born on November 9, 1943, Betty lived a life filled with purpose, dedication, and unending love for her family and community.
Beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, Betty is survived by her daughters, Angelique Brackett and Cheryl Dukes; granddaughters, Asiah Brackett and Tonisha Darling; grandson, A’lique Terry; and her sister, Elouise Cyprian.
She now joins those who passed before her. Her dear sisters Thelma Mumford, Helen Bezue, and Bessie Rowan; brothers Travis, Irving, Donald, and Robert Cyprian; and her father, Charlie Cyprian Jr. and mother Lillie Perry Cyprian no doubt greeted her with open arms.
Betty spent her career as a devoted Buyer/Procurement Specialist for Miami Dade County, a position from which she retired after 25 dedicated years. Her work ethic and commitment to her role were second only to the love she bore for her family and friends.
Her spirit was undeniable, her energy infectious. She cherished spending time with those she loved, her family, friends, and her church community at Greater Bethel AME Church were the source of her joy. Her passion for community service was evident in the numerous initiatives she took part in, always striving to make her community a better place.
Betty's legacy of love, service, and determination remain an example for us all. Her spirit lives on in the hearts and memories of those who loved and cherished her. She will be deeply missed, but her impact will endure.
