Betty's obituary

It is with deep and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Betty Crowe. Born on February 7, 1949, Betty left us on September 28, 2025, leaving a void in our lives that can never be filled. This remarkable woman who delighted in the simple pleasures of life, will forever be remembered for her warm, witty, and kind personality.

The beloved matriarch of the Crowe family, Betty is survived by her son, Scott Crowe, her daughter, Misty Crowe, her grandsons, Cory Crowe and Wayne Crowe, and her granddaughter, Renae Crowe. They will forever carry the loving memories of her in their hearts. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, John Crowe.

A graduate of Southport High School, Indiana, in 1967, Betty was a woman of many hobbies and interests. She was a loyal fan of The Beatles, and could often be found humming myriads of their timeless tunes. News programs were an integral part of her daily routine, keeping her updated and informed on the happenings around the world. Her love for Scrabble was well-known amongst family and friends, often leading to hours of friendly competitiveness and joyful banter. Additionally, Betty had a profound love for reading, immersing herself in myriad of worlds and eras through the power of words.

Among the many life lessons she imparted on those around her, the one that will be remembered most fondly is, "Treat others the way you want to be treated." This golden rule was not just something she quoted, but a principle she lived by, as evidenced by the respect and love she received from all who knew her.

The legacy Betty leaves behind is an inspiring one of love and kindness. Her memory will continue to guide and inspire us, reminding us of the power of compassion and the importance of treating others with respect and dignity. As we mourn our loss, we also celebrate the rich and fulfilling life that Betty lived. Her bright spirit, compassion and enduring wisdom live on in the hearts of those she touched. We will forever cherish her memory and honor her enduring legacy.
