Betty Jane Coates was born in Minot, ND on December 4, 1933 to her parents, Kenneth & Doris Nelson. She had one brother, Jim. Her family moved to Seattle where Betty graduated from high school at Cleveland High School in 1951. In June of 1953, Betty married the love of her life, Ted Coates. Betty & Ted raised three children, Kathy, Mike, and Karen in University Place, WA. During these years they had many biking, …
