It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Ms. Betty Christensen on March 30, 2024. Born on January 9, 1947, Betty lived a life rich in love, generosity, and an unshakeable commitment to family.

Surviving her are her sons, Douglas and Loren Christensen, and her daughters-in-law, Tonya and Deb Christensen.  10 Grandchildren ans 9 great grandchildren.  Also the Pavek family. Each of them carry on Betty's memories, tell her stories, and uphold her values, ensuring that her legacy lives on in their lives.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Larry Christensen, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and dedication. Their bond was an exemplary demonstration of partnership and mutual respect. Betty was also preceded in death by her cherished daughter, Lori Miller, and kind-hearted son-in-law, Joseph Miller. Their lives and memories continue to act as a source of strength and courage for the family, reminding them to cherish each moment they have with their loved ones.

An active member of her community, Betty was a familiar face at local spots such as Pappys and various auction houses.

Betty was a proud graduate of Frederic High School, class of 1965, and in the same year, she celebrated her marriage. Her life was a testament to steadfast love and commitment to family. The cause closest to her heart was her family, and she served them with all the love and dedication one can muster. The family would like to thank Arbor Oaks Memory Care for their love and dedication for Betty as she battled with Alzheimers. Also a big thank you to Lifespark Hospice for all their help during the final months.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held in honor of Betty on May 18, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Anoka Senior Center. All those whose lives were touched by Betty are welcome to join us as we commemorate a life well-lived and express our gratitude for the time we were blessed to spend with her.

In the enduring words of Betty, "Family is not an important thing, it's everything".
