Betty Jane Puphal Boyd, 82, of Siler City North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, March 30th, 2024, at her home, surrounded by family.

Betty was born in Lincoln County, Wisconsin on March 3rd, 1942, to Henry and Bernice Liesman Puphal. She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Kristine Marie Hinson; her brothers, Laverne Puphal, Duane Puphal, James Puphal, and  Henry "Hank" Puphal; her sister, Gloria Trzebiatowski; and her grandson, Luke Dillon Moore.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Boyd Moore (Tim) of Siler City; brother, Reuben Puphal of Merrill, WI; sisters, Eileen Richards, Victoria Drost, Sally Boyd, and Jeannie Robl all of Merrill, WI; grandchildren, Freedom Hinson, Steve Hinson, II, Bobbi Jo Hinson Harber, Lance Moore, David Moore, John Moore, Sarah Crowder, and Hannah Moore; and great-grandchildren, Tanner Hinson, Alexis Hinson, Aubry Harber, William Harber, Emma Lou Crowder, Cooper Crowder and Luke James Murillo.

Betty loved spending time with her family and her cat Aspen.  She loved watching "All My Children" and sewing, reading, knitting, doing crafts and crossword puzzles. She especially enjoyed playing games and putting puzzles together with her great-grandchildren. She was the owner/manager of Curves for Women gym when she lived in Florida, and was also a Certified Nursing Assistant for the better part of her career.

The family will hold a service at noon on June 1, 2024,  at  Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery, 201 S Memorial Drive, Merrill, WI 54452. Betty will be inurned at Niche D-6 Columbarium 7 East.  A luncheon will be available after the service from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Eagles Club,  1205 Lake St, Merrill, Wisconsin. 

Mom, you will always be in our hearts and we will never forget you. We love you so much. Rest in peace.
