Betty's obituary

Ms. Betty Ann Terrell, a devoted wife, loving mother, and the youngest of twin daughters to the late Thelma Nelson Chester and Barsh Wilson. Betty was born on July 21, 1951 in Baltimore Maryland.
Betty received her education in Howard County and the Baltimore City Public School System in Maryland, where she became interested in the Nursing Assistant and Nutrition program. She committed herself to the Lord at an early age and attended St. Stephens A.M.E. Church in Elkridge, Maryland.
Betty met the love of her life, the late retired Master Sergeant Jewel Terrell, and joined in holy matrimony on June 16, 1972. From this union Betty and her husband were blessed with two sons; Eric and the late Clifton Ray Terrell. They traveled the Country and were stationed in; Georgia, South Korea, Virginia, and Maryland until settling down where they made Houston, Texas their home. While in Texas, Betty found a church home in the Christian Charity Deliverance Church where she would continue her Christian walk, under the leadership of Pastor G. S. Henderson. She later became a member of Crossover Bible Fellowship under the guidance of Pastor Blake Wilson.
Betty worked as a dietician at Spring Branch Memorial Hospital and enjoyed taking care of those in need. She loved her family and all of those around her as she enjoyed playing cards, singing, dancing, and cooking. Betty had a witty sense of humor and always had a taste for Maryland Crab cakes and Steak Fish. Every summer, Betty’s sister, Joann would come to Texas to visit or Betty would travel to Baltimore.
Betty entered eternal rest on July 19, 2020. She is preceded in death by her husband; Jewell Terrell son; Clifton Terrell, and baby sister; Carolyn Broadnax. She leaves to cherish her memory son; Eric (Bridgette) Terrell, grandchildren; DeVante (Saori), Andre, Jade, Addison, Trace, Lonzell and Jordann Washington, and four great grandchildren; KC, Soliette, Kayden, and Julian Washington, her twin sister; JoAnn Lewis, one aunt; Geneva Alston, one uncle; Bernard Nelson, Brothers-in-laws, Sisters-in-laws, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
