It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our cherished mother, aunt, cousin, sister, grandmother, and friend, Betty Joe Allen, who left this world peacefully on November 30, 2024, at the age of 65. She was surrounded by love and the comforting presence of family as she entered eternal rest.
Born on January 5, 1959, in Woodstock, Illinois, Betty grew up with a spirit of resilience and a heart full of compassion. She devoted her life to serving the community as a disciple for the Lord, sharing her unwavering faith and the message of God’s love with everyone she encountered. Known for her steadfast devotion, warm spirit, and selflessness, Betty inspired all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Betty found joy in watching her family start their own and taking her grandchildren to get ice cream every Thursday night. These weekly outings became treasured moments, filled with laughter, stories, and sweet memories that will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
A visitation to honor Betty’s life will be held at Schneider Leucht Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home on December 4, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to OneForIsrael, reflecting Betty’s life of faith and service.
Though our hearts ache at her passing, we find comfort in knowing that Betty’s faith carried her home to be with the Lord. Her legacy of love, service, and unwavering faith will live on in the lives she touched, and her enduring light will continue to shine in the hearts of her family and friends.
