Ohhhh myyy goodness ! I just heard this news . :( I’m sooo sad to hear this about my sweet friend Bettie. We emailed often and I learned so much about Haiti from her . I too , am from Ohio and have an orphanage in Haiti close to her house there . I visited her once there and also stayed in Florida a few days with her a few years ago . I received an email from her mid July and sent one directly back as I always enjoy hearing from her !! I feel lost with out her now ! Ohhh dear :( .. blessings to her family , Patty and Herode Pierre , Montrouis

Farewell to a wonderful woman, who readily accepted me as one of her "children". There are so many children and others whom she blessed, that joyous memories of her will flow around the world many times over, for generations to come...

Dear Peter, Phillip and Jackson,
Our thoughts, hearts and prayers are with you at this time and in this season of earthly loss and heavenly gain. Bettie was a 2nd mom to me as you know; along with Jack (your Dad) to take me into your family as another son. “… this little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine” I can almost hear her singing to this day; it’s now been 50 years. Bettie’s enthusiasm, constant overflowing love, hope, joy and faith not only helped usher me through a challenged childhood, but inspires me to this day in my walk with the Lord Jesus. I really like what Betty Cutts said, “Bettie has many jewels in her crown. Many diamonds!" And, now I have my own charity that extends His mercy and Word to marginalized, hurting and blinded men in Tampa Bay Florida and beyond. I praise God for His Saint, your mother Bettie. Peace.
Dear Pete and all the Snyder family,

Please accept my condolence concerning the passing of your mom Bettie Snyder. She and your father were a great inspiration to me. I visited them in Haiti many years ago with Sister Thelma Oney. I took a child to sponsor then and continued to sponsor with Mission Possible for many years. Now I have my own charity that sponsors students in China.
Bettie has many jewels in her crown. Many diamonds!
