Celebrating the Life of
Betrice Paulette Mullican-Nance
April 2, 1944 - February 26, 2026
Betrice Paulette Mullican-Nance, known affectionately by all who loved her as "Grandma B," went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 26, 2026. A woman of immense heart and unwavering devotion, B's life was defined by the deep roots she planted in her family and the kindness she extended to everyone she met.
A Legacy of Love
Born on April 2, 1944, B grew up with a spirit that was both gentle and resilient. On March 16, 1962, she entered into a lifelong covenant with the love of her life, Kenneth N. Nance.
Together, they built a foundation of faith and family that would span over six decades, weathering life's seasons with grace and a shared commitment to one another.
Grandma B was the heartbeat of her family, a lesson she undoubtedly learned from her late mother and father. She lived for the moments where her house was full of laughter, the smell of home-cooked meals, and the chaos of a growing lineage. A testament to her nurturing, B raised her granddaughter, Victoria "Tori" Saranthus, whom she lovingly called "Toe-Toe." She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Marjorie Brown.
Those She Leaves Behind
B's memory will be cherished and kept alive by her family:
• Her Husband: Kenneth N. Nance
• Her Sister: Linda Mullican
• Her Sons: Kenneth W. Nance and Christopher N. Nance
• Her Grandchildren:
• Joshua "Josh" Nance (Morgan)
• Austin "Tate" Nance
• Victoria "Tori" Saranthus (Coty)
• Madison Barnes (Nick)
• Natalie Logan
• Isabella Vining
• Jordan "Ryan" Pickell
• Great-Grandchildren: A "large and lively number" of great-grandchildren who were the absolute pride and joy of her later years.
To her grandchildren, she wasn't just a grandmother; she was a confidante, a cheerleader, and a constant source of unconditional love.
