Beth's obituary

Beth Metzker, a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of family.

Beth was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, and spent much of her life in Indian Trail, North Carolina, where she shared nearly 42 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Willard “Bill” Metzker.

Beth was a proud and devoted mother to her daughters, Amy Metzker and Emily Ross, and a loving mother-in-law to Adam Ross. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren—Natalie, Osanna, Annika, and Kaomi—whom she adored deeply and unconditionally.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence McRae; her mother, Patsy Kye; her brother, Mark Mullis; and her sister, Beverly Combs.

Beth had a true gift for gardening and was known for her big green thumb. She found peace and happiness surrounded by flowers and nature, especially birds. Cardinals held a special place in her heart—she often said they were loved ones visiting from heaven.

She also loved to cook for those she cared about most. Her homemade spaghetti and pot roast were family favorites.

Beth will be remembered for her gentle heart, her devotion to family, She leaves behind a family forever changed by her presence.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 23rd at 1:30 PM at Charlotte Memorial Gardens, located at 7632 Hood Road, Charlotte, NC.
