Bertha's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bertha Guerra, who left this world on April 22, 2023. Born on December 20, 1961, Bertha lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering faith. She is survived by her mother Rebecca Ruiz, brothers Richard Ruiz and Jerry Ruiz, sister Karen Ruiz, son David Guerra, two daughters Cindy Guerra and Stephanie Ruiz-Molina, her grandsons Chris Smith and Aiden Saenz and many extended family and friends who will cherish the memories and lessons they shared with her.

A Celebration of Life for Bertha will be held on May 17, 2023, at 11:00 AM at San Antonio Christian Church, where friends and family can gather to remember her vibrant spirit and the impact she had on those around her. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family through the following link: https://gofund.me/22509a70

Those who knew Bertha will fondly recall her talkative, outgoing nature, her sense of humor, humility, strength, bluntness, and generous heart. She taught others the importance of letting go of the past, having faith in God, and living in the present moment. Bertha's greatest accomplishments were her beloved children, who will continue her legacy of forgiveness and generosity.

Bertha's spirit will live on not only through her family and friends but also through her cherished dog, Ella, who will miss her dearly. As we gather to celebrate Bertha's life, we remember the love, laughter, and wisdom she so willingly shared with us all. Rest in peace, Bertha Ann Guerra. You will never be forgotten.
