Bernardita's obituary

Bernardita White gained her angel wings on October 10, 2022, at her home in Hopewell, VA. Bernardita was 68 years old and finally lost her 4-year battle with Multiple Myeloma, a cancer of the blood.

Bernardita's life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were Blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint She left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that She stayed here.
Bernardita was talented and adventurous in many aspects of her life.  Not a day went by where Bernardita didn't talk about how much her children and family meant to her -- her family was arguably her most important achievement in life.

Bernardita is survived by her loving husband, Leonard C. White, Sr., and her six children, Darrell A. White, Cristina A. (White) Bacon, Carol A. White, Elma (White) Palang, Leonard C. White, Jr., and Vincent B. White. And survived by her 14 grandchildren Arellana C. Bacon, Makani Bacon, Alexis L. White, Claytonius Lewis, Jr., Jeremiah Grant, Isaiah Grant, Nashawn Hare, Christian Hare, Jaxson Palang, Jayce Palang, Faith O. White, Jade J. O. White, Lenyx Dee G. White, and Junah Z. White and countless friends. Bernardita was predeceased by her father, Vincente Arellano, and her mother, Ana Tagalog and her sister-in-law, Marilyn (White) Clark. Services organized Nelsen Funeral Home, Hopewell, VA, but will be held at Amelia Virginia Veterans' Cemetery, 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia Court House, VA, at 11 AM, October 17, 2022. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to VCU Massey Cancer Center, an organization Bernardita cared for.
