It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bernard Toomer Jr, a dedicated and honorable member of the United States Navy who served for 20 years. Bernard passed away on May 1, 2023 at 61 years old. His passing has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of all who knew him.

Born on September 20, 1961 in Kingston, New York. After graduating high school, Bernard answered the call to serve his country and joined the Navy. During his distinguished career, Bernard was stationed in Greece, Australia, Hawaii, Virginia and many others, where he served with distinction and honor.

In his professional life, Bernard offered his skills and expertise to a variety of industries, contributing to their success and growth. He was respected and admired by his colleagues, who appreciated his diligence, hard work, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

Bernard is survived by his Mother Adrenna, brother Michael, sisters Holly and Sonji, nephew Courtney and nieces, Debbie, Nia and Ashley, as well as a host of other relatives and dear friends who will always cherish the memories of their time with him. He will be remembered by his family for his love, unwavering support, and distinctive humor, and by his friends for his loyalty and a heart as big as his laughter.
