We were fortunate to be neighbors with Bernie for more than a decade, and during that time, a truly remarkable friendship flourished. Bernie's presence enriched our lives, and even though he moved away, our family continued to cherish the bond we shared. Learning of his passing has filled us with profound sadness, yet it also reminds us of his exceptional character and the extraordinary effort he made to connect with our entire extended family.

Bernie's warm smile and genuine interest in others were a source of comfort and joy. We'll forever treasure the countless conversations, shared laughter, and the countless acts of kindness he bestowed upon us.
