Personal note

The family of Bernadette, Monica Pierre, thanks you for your prayers, condolences, and support, including the professional services of R.N. Horton and Chesapeake Highland Memorial Garden, which helped send off our mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, friend, and colleague on her next journey. Your contributions throughout her life and to her celebration of life service have brought comfort and joy to her family and helped make her life’s dream complete.
The road ahead will not be easy for many, but it is part of the journey of life we will all take. We wish you peace, joy, happiness, and our support as you continue your journey of life. We hope that Bernadette’s life story and the memories shared about her continue to live on in your hearts, and that the ways she impacted you and the lives of others continue to comfort you. I commend some lyrics from two of her favorite artists, Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole:
And now, the end is near, and so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll make it clear
I'll state my case, of which I am certain
I've lived a life that's full
I've traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way!

AND although the sun has set on her earthly journey….
Smile, though your heart is aching
Smile even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky
You'll get by
if you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile, and maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun come shining through
If you'll just smile!
“…When Christ shall come, with the shout of acclamation, and take me home, what joy shall fill my heart…”
Many thanks from the family of Bernadette Monica Pierre.
