Bernadette Moran-Rossi, age 68 of Langhorne, Pennsylvania passed away suddenly on September 18, 2023.
Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1954, Bernie lived most of her life in Langhorne, PA. She was a graduate of Bishop Conwell High School, Class of 1972. She went on to study nursing & work in the healthcare industry.
Bernie was a person who always wanted to help others, which led her into her healthcare career. She was a Registered Nurse & worked for St. Mary’s Medical Center with oncology patients & also worked for Bayada providing homecare visits. Most of her career was spent as a nurse & office manager for Dr. James Rossi’s family practice. She shared her expertise with future healthcare workers in her adjunct role at Bucks Community College & by supervising pre-professional nursing students. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a Patient Advocate at Pennswood Village.
Bernie will be remembered as an amazing cook known for her Turkey & Chocolate Cream Pie on Thanksgiving, Monkey Bread & Cookie Platters at Christmas, Irish Brown Bread & Guiness Stew for St. Patrick’s Day & many other delicious dishes. During the summer & fall she could be found rooting on her beloved Phillies. Come fall & winter she looked forward to cheering on her favorite team, the Philadelphia Eagles.
She was full of life & loved (winning) family game nights, trips to the Poconos & the Jersey shore, visits to Disney, traveling to Ireland, & she was particularly fond of Girls’ Weekends with her family. Her nieces, nephews, & grandchildren were blessed with her unconditional love & were spoiled with her birthday surprises, tea parties, unique and personalized Christmas gifts, & traditional Easter egg hunts. Proud of her Irish heritage, she never missed an opportunity to celebrate Irish traditions.
Bernie is survived by the love of her life, her husband, James C. Rossi. She is also survived by her children, William Schardinger of Langhorne, her youngest son Jonathan Rossi (Orlene) of Doylestown & her eldest son Michael Schardinger (Gracie) of New York.
