I can still remember the day that I met Bernie! She had just driven up from CA and was staying with Greta sitting on her patio reading a book! We became great neighbors and friends! She love Tom Jones, ABBA, Mexican Train and casinos! No one could add up the Mexican Train tiles as fast as she could!! She loves to sing along with ABBA but was challenged to carry a tune! :) She loved to use her good china - why save it - she’d say! I’ve even purchased second hand china so I could serve my guests on nice dinnerware like Bernie. She was an excellent hostess and her door was always open for a visit. I will miss her. She was a lovely little English lady! My sincere condolences to all of her family.

Our deepest condolences to the Millar family, your mom was always a good friend and we have nothing but fond memories of your mother.

Love the Estep family

Bernie was my aunt by marriage. Married to my Mum Jeannie's younger brother George Millar. I always thought of her as my Auntie Bernie. I would visit them in my early teens in San Diego travelling down from Vancouver, BC by Greyhound bus ... you could do that safely in those early 60's. When Bernie moved up to Sumas, I'd drive down with my dog every second weekend or so and have lovely visits with Bernie and her lovely neighbours, who became friends. Bernie was our Millar family chronicler ... she knew where all the bodies were buried!😅🤣  I will miss her dearly and think only of the happy times. Love you Tante Bernadette. XxxJoy
