Benson loved the great outdoors and history, almost as much as he loved Carolina Beach and Fort Fisher. He loved to spend time with his family and friends on the beach at Fort Fisher, and at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, learning more about the area. We would love to donate to the Friends of Fort Fisher in Benson’s honor, to help preserve this historic battlefield and training ground.
