Benny's obituary

On the Evening of February 4, 2025, Jose "BENNY" Montano, age 83, left us to be with the Lord. He was born on February 25, 1941 to Jennie and Maxcimino in LaJunta, CO. He was married to and survived by the love of his life, Rose, and their three daughters Lydia, Maria, and Cheryl. As well as 9 Grandchildren, several Great Grand Children, and Great Great Grandchildren. He was also survived by his sister, Margaret, brother, Frank, and many Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved Mom, sisters, Marylou and Carol, and brother Daniel. Benny was an honored Marine, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, and Friend. He will always be remembered as a jokester, always going out of his way to make people laugh. He loved fishing, working on his cars, and helping people. He always worked as hard as he played and could often be found drinking a Coors Light on the lake or in his backyard surrounded by his friends, family, and pets. If you wish to send flowers or donations please contact the family by calling or texting (303) 810-4916 or emailing J.montano22541@gmail.com .Military Honors Service will be performed on February 28, 2025 at 11am at Fort Logan National Cemetary.
