Bennie's obituary
Bennie was born on November 9, 1938 to Henry and Leady Dawson in Dickinson, TX. He enlisted in the Air Force at a young age of seventeen in 1955 and went on to serve in the Crash and Rescue Fire Department until his retirement in 1975. After Air Force, he graduated from college and started his own Locksmith business, spanning a 40-year career.
In 1958, Bennie met his wife Eleanor (Pinder) Dawson. Instantly he knew "she was the one" and few months later they wed in July 12, 1958, going on to have three children, Deborah, Allan and Dale. Bennie loved his "Honey" and on July 12, 2019 for their 61th Wedding Anniversary, while in hospice, he made her a card saying "I dearly miss you. I wish we could be together on this day to enjoy it together, From Ben with all my love" With the help of video chat technology, Bennie was able to see his "Honey" for the last time.
Bennie, was a member of a Palm Beach Gardens Masonic Lodge and is a Past Master in 2004. He generously gave of his time in supporting local charitable organizations sponsor by their Lodge and the Scottish Rite Masonic Center.
Bennie is predeceased by his parents and his brother, Jerry and his son Dale. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Dawson; his brothers, Pat and Andy ; by his son, Allan and daughter in law, Miriam (Flores) Dawson; his three grandchildren, Aaron, Lauren and Shawn, and his two great grandchildren James and Oliver.
