Ben bought me this book calle…
Ben bought me this book called Belonging. He loved it and felt it would really help me. I shared with him how I would often feel so alone. He bought this book for me and mailed it to me a few weeks before he passed. We had talked about how we were going to discuss the book. Now we can't do that, but I'll think of him through every page and soak up healing words.
Ben and I shared many photos …
Ben and I shared many photos over the years. I decided to compile a few of the pictures he sent me and a few I sent him and made a collage.
I was going through old messages shared between Ben and I. This video is one he sent me. I always loved hearing him play piano.

Sharon and I are extremely sad at the passing of Ben, May he rest now and awake to the return and love of Jesus.
I dedicate this song to Ben. We lived long distance from one another, but found a way to make the trip work and I'm so grateful I made it out there before he passed.

Ben gave me driftwood to take…
Ben gave me driftwood to take home from Orcas Island. I painted it to honor him.

It's been a long time since I've seen you in person, the phone calls we've had, the conversations, I cherish even more now.

I love how much you spoke of your children and your love of music and travel and the other people in your life. Such as your family.

I am so sad I never got to visit the Pacific Northwest and have you show me around.

One day I will make it there and it will be with you in my heart guiding me

Thank you for being a good friend when we were teenagers and beyond.

I am sending so much love to your family, children, loved ones, friends, everybody who is missing you right now.

I will see you in heaven one day, but hopefully not too soon.

I want to live a full life with you in my heart- in memory of you

You have inspired me to dust off the guitar that's just been sitting in my bedroom for a long long time

and get back to my lessons.

I don't think I'll ever be as good as you were lol

but I believe you will guide me

This heart chain was a gift Ben gave me for Valentines day. The ring was another thoughtful gift because I had told him how much I loved turquoise.

I wanted to share the song lyrics of a song Ben wrote. I really loved this song and he had wanted to record with me. He told me he was going to send me a mic and encouraged me to buy a ukulele. He talked about flying out to visit me for my birthday in May. I'm devastated at all the things we will never do and all the music we will never be able to do together. If anyone feels called to help me live out his legacy through songs and recording please feel free to reach out. His song lyrics are below. They truly reflect the man he was and still is just in another realm.

🎶

How can I bless you on your journey?

Through space and time for us to redefine ourselves with enlightened minds

Each and every moment when with nature we align

The Passionate climb up to the divine

Our Earth mother sustainer of the living

Gives us all we need so that we are thriving

She is the source and she is providing

In the stories that we are weaving with thanksgiving beyond surviving

And I ask

I ask

How can I bless you on your journey?

How can I give you what you need?

How can I love you more selflessly?

Great loves gonna come from a tiny seed

(Music solo)

Facility and Faculty open doors and opportunities

Connection through unity

When love is manifested the waters of our soul is tested

And stirred and the ripples of our presence go out and out

Concentrically, horizontally, and vertically

In colors and shapes of diversity

And again and again I ask

I ask

How can I bless you on your journey?

How can I give you what you need?

How can I love you more selflessly?

Great loves gonna come from a tiny seed

(music solo)

Our loves intertwining with interdependence

We’re finding new meaning in our lives

We are redefining who we are internationally

We are poloraid construction passionately?

And give birth to creativity

Our hearts open meaningfully

Embracing one another’s struggle and strife’s

We give our time and our energy to awaken

love calls for sacrifice

Foundations of greediness to be shaken

As we ask

As I ask

How can I bless you on your journey?(2x)

How can I give you what you need?

How can I love you more selflessly?

Great loves gonna come from a tiny seed

I'm so grateful that Ben and I met initially through a facebook group called Lightworker Musicians Tribe. He truly was a lightworker. He said he loved listening to my voice and he always supported me in my music. A few times I even wrote songs just for him.
I still remember having a scary health procedure and having him video chat with me that night to serenade me with songs so that I knew someone cared for me.
Most recently, I had covid during Christmas and I felt really weak and depressed. Christmas morning he video chatted with me and made me feel loved and less alone. He played some music for me on piano at my request. It was easy to fall in love with him.
Looking back on videos and songs he made and the radiance that shined through him is how I always want to remember him. Even amidst her darkest struggles I saw him turn to music daily. I saw him light up so much when he picked up a used harp in Seattle and I helped him in the rain to try to reconfigure a way to fit it in his car that was already filled to the brim lol. But he was so excited! I bet he is playing a beautiful harp in heaven in spirit. It was sad when his health struggles made him out of breath even just playing guitar and piano when I went out to visit. But I will continue to allow his presence to shine down on me and influence me as I sing and create more music moving forward.
2019, The Lightworker Musicians Tribe

Benjamin was a member of my online group, the Lightworker Musicians Tribe.  He was active in the group and offered supportive comments, music videos, and love for the other musicians. But I got to know him personally because of one memorable phone call.   He was interested in learning more about my mentorship for musicians, and so we made an appointment.  Out of all the calls I ever had, my time with Ben will always stand out for me.  Where a normal call would usually last about an hour, my call with Ben lasted almost 3 hours.  I felt his passion for music, I felt his desire for his dreams coming true, and I felt his sincere desire to overcome the obstacles holding him back.  Because of it all, I felt impressed to stay on the phone and hold space for him.  He did immense inner work with me as his witness that day on our call, and he made some incredible breakthroughs.

A short time later, I received a message from Ben saying that a phenomenal musical opportunity opened up for him and he was contacting me to celebrate and to thank me for being there for him.

He is a bright shining soul.   May this video of Ben sharing his beautiful original song with our tribe offer comfort to his loved ones.  You are in my heart today.

I've been listening to his gorgeous music on Sound Cloud all morning.  Here is his link:  https://soundcloud.com/thelivingember
