Benjamin's obituary
With a profound sense of loss, we announce the passing of Benjamin Russell, a beloved father, husband, son, brother, and uncle. Ben was born on May 6, 1982, and departed this life unexpectedly on August 31, 2024. A beacon of calm and caring, his love for his family was the defining aspect of his life.
He is survived by his adoring wife, Andrea Russell, whom he married in 2012, and their two beautiful children, Steven and Ellie, born in 2013 and 2016 respectively. His parents, Wesley and Paully Russell, his sister, Laura Rice, and his brother, Chris Russell, also survive him. His in-laws, Dean Rice and Maryann Russell, along with his nieces and nephews- Nicholas Russell, Izzy Rice, and Charles Rice- will miss their kind-hearted Uncle Ben.
Ben was predeceased by his brother, Brian Russell, in 1998, a loss that left a lasting impression on him.
After graduating from Champlain Valley Union High School in 2000, Benjamin earned an Associate degree from Champlain College in 2002. Professionally, he was recognized as a Creative Technology Engineer. His dedication was not limited to his professional life; Benjamin was also a devoted member of Temple Habonim, his spiritual home.
Beyond his accomplishments, Benjamin was a man of simple tastes. He enjoyed playing Magic the Gathering and "Lorcana", and cherished going on adventures with his family. Those close to him will remember him as a caring, calm, and loving person, attributes that earned him the moniker of “superdad” from his children, Steven and Ellie.
A Celebration of Life for Benjamin will be held on September 29, 2024 at Buck Ridge Barns. All those who knew and loved him are welcome to join and share in the memories of a life well-lived. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the SAE Foundation, 400 Commonwealth Drive, Warrendale, PA 15096 US.
Benjamin's departure is a significant loss, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to have known him.
