Benjamin A . DeCoux died on February 22, 2026 following a sudden illness. Born on a couch in Lyon, France in 1999 Ben was never one to do things the "normal" way. He was eccentric from an early age but had a passion for always helping others. He graduated high school at the age of 15 and attended colleges in the US and UK where he obtained a degree in accounting. At the age of 22 he began working for his family's financial firm which operated offices in Dallas, New York, and Paris. At 25 years old he married the love of his life, Emily, whose 25th birthday would have taken place on the day Ben died but instead got a birthday surprise in Heaven as she died in 2025. 

Ben is predeceased by his wife Emily DeCoux and his friend Wilhelm DuPont. He is survived by his parents Emma and Gabriel DeCoux, brother William DeCoux, mother-in-law Cassandra DuPont, and friends Matthew E. Rives, James K. Perot, Taylor F. Willis, Austin L. Dedman, and Michel Lorraine.

Ben will be missed.
