Ben's obituary

# In Loving Memory of Ben Littlefield

**December 28, 1989 – May 7, 2025**

_“What a light you were.”_

Ben Littlefield: a man of ink, jokes, and heart. He was a gifted tattoo artist who left his mark on countless people, both literally and metaphorically. Ben's unexpected departure on May 7, 2025, at the age of 35 due to a heart attack has left us all a little less colorful and a lot more in need of a good laugh. Born with a generous heart and a wicked sense of humor, Ben lived life with love, creativity, and a talent for making people feel seen and valued. Whether he was tattooing someone's life story onto their skin or cracking a joke that left the room in stitches, Ben was a master at bringing comfort and joy — often at the same time.

He is survived by his loving father, Philip Littlefield, and his brother, Clarence "Lee" Littlefield, along with countless friends, chosen family, and clients who became family. His legacy lives on in the stories, art, and love he left behind. And let's face it, some of his tattoos are probably still out there, causing someone to explain their 'unique' choice decades later.

A celebration of Ben’s life is not yet scheduled. But when it happens, you can bet there will be music, pizza, laughter, and perhaps a questionable karaoke performance or two — just the way he would’ve wanted. After all, who else could make singing off-key so endearing?

It's with deep sorrow (and a little bit of confusion on how to react)that we announce this passing of  Ben Littlefield. Known for his vibrant personality, Ben left an indelible mark on everyone he met. His unique mix of hilarious yet morbid perspectives on life often caught people off guard, but eventually endeared him to all who crossed his path.

Ben's life was a testament to the power of love and acceptance. His philosophy of 'loving the unlovable' was not just a catchy phrase; it was his life's mission. He spent quality time with those often regarded as unlovable or misunderstood, offering them love and kindness, which sometimes resulted in them offering him a place to crash or a weird story to tell.

Ben's passing leaves a void that can't be filled by anyone else, but his memory will continue to live through his teachings and the hearts of those who loved him. We take solace in the fact that he is now at peace, possibly organizing a celestial tattoo parlor or leaving angels in stitches with his humor.

Even as we mourn Ben's untimely demise, we celebrate his life and the positivity he spread during his time among us. We express our sincere condolences to his family and friends. His legacy of genuine love, compassion, and questionable jokes will always be remembered, respected, and cherished.
