Bella was actually a birthday gift to me Dec. 8th.  We went into this pet store just for the fun of it saying the whole time I don't want any more pets.  I had recently lost another special little dog named Precious that I was very attached to.  When we walked in there were 2 little puppies with short pointed ears, long legs, bobbed tail and flat face.  The breed name on the cage was Brussels Griffon.  I asked the lady working there what kind of dog is this? I've never heard of it? She said, have you ever seen the movie as good as it gets with Helen Hunt and Jack Nicholson? It's that little dog.  I said OMG I loved that little dog.  She asked if we wanted to go in the room and interact with them? I said sure.  I picked up Bellas sister first who was black and thought she was so cute.  Then I saw how playful Bella was so I picked her up and she licked my neck.  Right then and there she stole my heart and I took her home.  At the time Brad was serving in the army and came home on leave.  Hey said hey Mom what kibd of dog is that she's funny looking?  I mentioned the movie and re membered it.  At that point after picking her up and holding her he got very attached.  He let her sleep with him every night and took her with him when he'd go somewhere.  Before he left home to go back to Germany he told me when he got out of the army he was gonna take Bella.  I just laughed and said yeah right, she's my dog.  I was very attached too.  To make a long story short, I was working very long hours and felt so guilty leaving her at home locked up in our huge bathroom with her toys, food and water and plenty of puppy pads not to mention I had to leave the ciuntry music playing so she wouldnt get scared.  Her and I also had a special bond.  I potty trained her getting up at 4 in the morning, doctored her after her brojen leg and when I had her spade.  She was never any trouble just sweet and loving.  Brad stuck to his promise and took her once he was able.  At first I was a little upset.  After seeing the bond between them and how much joy she gave him I knew it was the right thing to do.  I thought after losing Precious I would never love another animal like  did her but Bella showed me different.  She was mine for a few years.  Her forever home was with Brad.  He gave her such a good happy life that made me so proud to see.  Brad met his match that day meeting Bella for the first time.  Then years later she accepted Ernestina, Jace and Galaxy.  She lived for 20 years in a happy home.  Not too many dogs get this kind of love but our little Boos got a lot of it!  I miss her so much!❤️❤️

Bella was the sweetest and most fun loving little dog we have ever had. She loved being dressed up and snuggling with everyone. Her and my brother had such a special bond. She helped him through his hardest days and he gave her the most unconditional love. They did everything together and she will be forever missed. We love you so much, Bella! 💜

I was so sorry to hear about Bella's passing. I will miss her taking up all of the space on my yoga mat. At least she doesn’t have to wear all of the matching outfits ernie puts her in. 

I am so sorry for you loss. Fur babies truly hold a spot in our hearts like no other. Losing them hurts deep in your heart & soul. Just remember though she lover you just as much & you have her such a loved filled life. She is watching over you from dog heaven. With time you may hurt a little less but will always remember her 

Bella was the sweetest girl and loved by so many. I remember when the Mayfields brought her home and how much love and joy she added to everyone's life from day one. From the very beginning, she always had such a sweet connection with Brad - she was his little sidekick! Y'all gave her such an amazing life and there's no doubt she knew how loved and cherished she was. Rest easy over the Rainbow Bridge, little girl. 🤍 You'll never be forgotten.  

Soooo sorry for your loss... It was her time to rest... no more aches or pain.  I will miss her wagging finger (tail). And how she finally would come to me quickly to get her treat from grama. Loved how she excepted galaxy, jace and my daughter into her life and home.
