In loving memory of Beatriz Ramirez Sarmiento.

Beatriz Ramirez Sarmiento, age 84, of Norwalk CA, passed away peacefully on April 25th, 2025, surrounded by her loving children. Born on December 16th, 1940, in El Paso TX, Beatriz was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She lived a life full of grace, kindness and dedication to her family and community.

She married Asuncion Sarmiento in 1964, and together they shared 50 years of love and partnership. Beatriz was known for her warm heart, unwavering faith in God, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome. She was an avid reader, loved attending book clubs and most recently joined the choir at Saint Pius X Church in Santa Fe Springs which she enjoyed immensely. For her being able to sing to our Lord and still serve Him in her 80’s meant the world to her.

She is survived by her children Beatriz, Ramon and Rosalie, daughter and son in-law Estela and John, grandchildren Sara, William, Esteban, Sara, Emilio and Mateo, her siblings Tony, Maria Luisa and Bertha, and was preceded in death by her loving husband Asuncion, and her siblings Maria Elena, and Ramon.

A memorial service and rosary prayer will be held at Sunnyside Mortuary in Buena Park, CA from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Monday May 19 at, 7651 Commonwealth Ave., Buena Park, CA 90621.

The funeral Mass will be at St. Pius X Church in Santa Fe Springs, CA at 10 a.m. on Tuesday May 20 at, 10827 Pioneer Blvd., Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670.

Friends and family are invited to attend and celebrate her remarkable life. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
