I just discovered the news of Bebe's passing. We collaborated together in Wisconsin in the early 1990s and she was the inspiration of my choral music composition based on Rilke's poem "I live my life in growing orbits". She was a bright shining light in my life and I remember her fondly. Rest in peace, Bebe.

I live my life in growing orbits,

which move out over the things of the world.

Perhaps I can never achieve the last,

but that will be my attempt.

I am circling around God, around the ancient tower,

and I have been circling for a thousand years.

And I still don't know if I am a falcon,

My last memory of my cousin Bebe was on the front porch of her aunt, my mother Rosie's house I think 2015? She came to visit her and we talked for hours. I'm devastated by this news. I've heard David Benjamin mention Beatrice before and always think of her as a little girl. I didn't think I'd ever read this news. The Dwyer family lived two houses up the hill from my family home, in which I still reside. When I was 11 (1951), Mrs. Dwyer asked my mother if I could stay with Beebee (as we spelled it then), Joan, and Colleen while she ran to town for a few minutes. That was my very first job and started me toward my lifetime of work as a teacher. I'm grateful for that beginning with those lovely little girls.
