Bart's obituary
Bart David Tuma peacefully passed away at the age of 69 on June 24, 2023 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his wife Cindy and kids.
Bart was born in Cut Bank, MT, and was very proud of his Montana roots always letting out a yell for all to hear whenever he returned to visit his parents and siblings.
Bart and Cindy were married for forty-five years celebrating their most recent anniversary on the day of his passing. Together they raised three children – Erik Tuma, Shannon Tuma, and Courtney Watson. Bart would also enjoy his six grandchildren always looking for ways to make them feel important and loved.
He took pride in being a provider for his family financially, physically and emotionally. Whether it was surprising his Wife with custom anniversary shirts expressing his love for her through cute sayings or making ends meet early in their marriage taking extra jobs while becoming legally blind.
With his youngest daughter Courtney, he was always sure to bring home stuffed animals from his work trips to show that even though he was away, he was thinking of her and missed her. Another special memory Courtney had of her Dad was letting her pick out a special stuffed animal from FAO Schwartz - Seattle which she still has to this day.
He provided for his oldest daughter Shannon by supporting her and her children by being a wonderful Grandfather and always being there for them when they needed it.
For his son Erik, he always made time each night to cuddle in front of the TV to watch the evening news and Jeopardy. This embrace of fatherly love and security will remain with Erik forever.
Bart’s greatest joy in life was to spoil his wife Cindy and to brag on his three kids to all who would listen. He taught not only to dream big, but how to accomplish those dreams through faith in God and hard work. Those dreams are now blossoming and being passed down to his children’s children. His impact on this world will be felt for generations to come.
Micah 6 6-8 …to walk humbly with your God.
