Barry's obituary

Barry Shelton, born June 10, 1945 in Spring Hill, MS, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025 in St. Louis, MO. He was 79 years old.

Barry’s life was defined by curiosity, generosity, and a heart that never stopped expanding. Barry believed life was meant to be explored, questioned, and appreciated—and he lived that belief every day.

He was a kind, but wonderfully complex man—thoughtful, introspective, and driven by a deep desire to help others. Barry offered his time, his hands, and his wisdom to anyone who needed it. He made a meaningful difference in countless lives.

Barry leaves behind his devoted wife, his three loving daughters, a son, and eleven grandchildren who adored him. He also leaves behind two brothers, three sisters, and many nieces and nephews. They will all remember his warmth, his humor, his strength, and the way he encouraged each of them to stay curious about the world.

Though he will be deeply missed, Barry’s legacy lives on in the family he cherished and the many lives he touched with his generosity, and compassion.
