Barry Jason Shafer, 58 of Elkview, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on 9/26/2019. He was a loving husband and father that left behind a wife, two daughters, two step-sons and two grandchildren. Barry was a graduate of Walton High School in Walton, West Virginia, where he was a star athlete. He attended Marshall University and eventually graduated from Grand Canyon University with a degree in Biblical Studies. He also served as a Combat Engineer in the West Virginia Army National Guard. Barry enjoyed painting, studying the bible and serving the Lord. He will be greatly missed by everyone he leaves behind!
