It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Barry Meek on January 4, 2024. Born on December 4, 1959, Barry's zest for life and boundless positivity greatly impacted everyone who had the fortune to know him. His positive, humble, loyal, and smart nature were the pillars of his personality, and he truly embodied the meaning of a true friend—a legacy he leaves behind.

Barry was predeceased by his beloved parents, Nina and Dale Meek, his loving sister, Leslie Kersten, and his son, Ryan Lucero. He leaves behind his cherished children, Amanda Canales, Alysia, Hannah Pitman, Jonathan Meek, and Savannah Baker. His brothers, Alan and David Meek also survive him.

Barry was a man of simple pleasures. His favorite drink, Dr. Pepper, was often enjoyed while watching his favorite TV show, Blacklist. He also found immense joy in spending time with his grandchildren, watching movies, and frequenting local spots like the Skate Park. Blue, his favorite colour, reflects his calm and reassuring demeanor.

He treasured every moment with his children and grandchildren; his pride in them was evident in every conversation he had and picture he shared.  His wisdom will be greatly missed, especially his ability to see the best in all situations—a lesson we will continue to honor in his memory.
