Barry's obituary

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Barry after a long illness on March 12, 2026. His spouse Jennifer was at his side.

Barry was born April 29, 1951 at Wadena Saskatchewan where he grew up on the family farm with four brothers and sisters. He is predeceased by his Father Carl Thomas, Mother Jessie Dorothea Johnson, sister Genevieve Louise Meakin, brother David Carl, sister Lorraine Lillian Bagyinka, brother Hugh Aubrey. He is survived by sister Lorna Isabelle Stock,  brother Howard James, sister Patricia Ann Shea, brother Brian Douglas and step-son Tyler Raymond.

He drove for Greyhound Bus Lines for 30 years in Western Canada and after retirement moved to Queenstown, Ab.  He enjoyed his love of gardening on his acreage and entertaining family and friends supplying them with fresh produce. He was well known for his generous nature and hospitality.

He was cremated March 18, 2026 at Choice Memorial Garden Road.

Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society.

A celebration of Barry’s life will follow at a later date.
