Barbra's obituary
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Shreveport . Minister Bryant LeBlanc of Philadelphia Christian Church, will officiate at the services.
Mrs. Turner was a native of Cecilia and a lifelong resident of Shreveport . Barbra “ MOM “ Turner adored her family. She enjoyed cooking, watching soap operas, reading Bible scriptures, feeding her chickens and planting Spring flowers. Her home was opened to everyone, even the stray cats would not leave her front door without being fed. She was known as “ MOM “ to many and loved by so many . She will truly be missed by her Family and Friends.
Survivors include her loving husband of 43 years, Milton Turner ; five sons, Adam Alexander and his wife, Deandre, Gary Williams and Floyd Williams and his companion, Kim Randall, all of Lafayette, Perry Williams and his wife, Janet, of Carencro and Paul Williams and his wife, Lee, of Takoma, WA; one daughter, Karol Andrus and her husband, Randy, of Lafayette; one Godchild, George Alexander, Jr.; Two grandchildren, Alexis Turner ,Shamika Turner, 3 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Turner , Sr. and the former Sophie Pete; four brothers, Thomas Turner, Jr. Joseph Agest Turner , Lee Buddy Turner and George Turner , Sr.; and three sisters, Nora White, Thelma Roberts and Theresa Pappillion.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Philadelphia Christian Church (200 W. Willow St. Shreveport , LA 70501) from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until service time on Tuesday .
