Barbara's obituary

Barbara Ann McCorkle Wright passed away at the age of 84 on July 3rd 2020, at the Melech Hospice House. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren McCorkle, second husband, Fred Wright, and son-in- law Duane Williams. She is survived by her children, David McCorkle, Michael McCorkle (Paula), Patty Pennington (Larry), Lynn Williams, Steven McCorkle, and Susan Shorter (Kevin). Also survived by her 8 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Mom was known as Grandma Beach to her grandchildren as that's where mom lived while they were growing up, and hanging out at the beach with her.

Mom volunteered at BSTC (Brandon Swimming and Tennis Club) when were young, so we were fortunate to be members. She also worked at Publix for many years, then Walgreens, before she retired.

Mom was cherished by all her kids. She was the most beautiful, caring, funniest woman we've ever known. Friend to many and loved by all that knew her. Mom always had a smile on her face and so much love in her heart and will be greatly missed, and her memory will be cherished forever. Mom had a new saying the last year of her life, which she would giggle thru along with us laughing, she would say, piss on you sister, jackoff in your own backyard! She had the BEST sense humor ever! RIP sweet mom. We all love you!
