Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Lloyd D. Avery on October 21, 2022, and beloved daughter Audrey D. Holden. Also very near and dear to her and her husband, was Kenya their beloved Bengal cat. Her siblings include the late Harold White, Marjorie Cooper and Phyllis Parsons. Also Beverly Gabranski of Ludlow, Vermont and Mary Glenn Doyon of Sebring, Florida and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Barbara had a diverse taste in music, enjoying the sounds of Josh Groban, Celtic Woman, Daniel O'Donnell, Johnny Cash, Reba McEntire and Patsy Cline.

Her palate was as diverse as her interests.Barbara had a fondness for hearty comfort foods like Ruben and Pastrami Sandwiches and cherished every bit of lobster prepared in any style. She also enjoyed sipping on a glass of wine with an ice cube in it, a small detail that told much about her easy-going and charming personality.

Barbara had a keen eye for art, with works by Will Moses and Jim Daly holding a special place in her heart. She was also a loyal supporter of the New England Patriots, savored her time visiting family and friends, and had an unyielding love for the beach, especially the ocean.

Known for her loving and caring disposition, Barbara was also a practical joker who loved animals and was always up for a good travel adventure. She really enjoyed riding horses, snowmobiles and the Gold Wing motorcycle with her late husband. Her vibrant personality and zest for life were infectious and served as an inspiration to those around her.

In 2012, Barbara set in stone her love for basketball when she became a member of the Orleans & Northern Essex Athletic Hall of Fame. This worthy accomplishment was one of the many highlights of her illustrious life, and a testament to her determination and unyielding spirit.

Barbara (White) Avery was a beacon of light in the lives she touched, and her memory will forever be engraved in the hearts of those she left behind. Her life was a testament to her character: a woman of love and irreplaceable charm.
