Barbara's obituary
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Waterman, a treasured and loved member of our family and community. Born on August 25, 1952, Barbara was a beacon of strength and love during her time with us until her departure on March 3, 2024.
Barbara was a woman of strong will and intelligence. Although she often kept her thoughts and emotions reserved, she fought tirelessly in the face of many demanding health conditions. However, she was not withdrawn from the joy of life and loved reading novels, her home Reno, and her family with all her heart. Her lessons of minimizing arguments and persisting through great challenges have undoubtedly left strong imprints on everyone who had the privilege to know her.
Barbara dedicated 30 years of her life to her career at AT&T, where she put her intellect to use, serving her company diligently and unfailingly. But it was her love for her family that truly defined Barbara's life. She cherished her family wholesomely, extending her love and care to all, including uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Barbara is survived by her parents Edgar and Edna Waterman, her brother John Waterman, her nieces Jessica Wilson, Alex Wilson, and Sarah Waterman, and her nephew Jonathan Waterman. They have lost a loving family member, a person of great resilience and compassion, who always went above and beyond to support others in times of need.
We invite all to help us honor Barbara's memory. In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted for the "Barbara Waterman's Memorial and Medical Debt Fundraiser", located at: https://everloved.com/life-of….
We are grateful for your support and invite all to join us in remembering and cherishing the beautiful life of Barbara Waterman.
She will be sorely missed, but her legacy of love, resilience, and unconditional care for her family will continue to live on in our hearts and actions. Rest peacefully, dear Barbara.
