Barbara's obituary
She is survived by her son, Joseph Matson and wife, Gayle (Nagel) Matson; her daughter, Katie (Karsikas) Herzog and husband Patrick Herzog; her daughter, Heather (Karsikas) Currier and husband, Justin Currier; six grandchildren, Alyssa, Zachary, Alex, James, Lola, and Scarlett; and great grandchild, Talan.
Born and raised in Minnesota, the daughter of Leonard and Martha (Mosser) Barthol, she was a resident of both Minnesota and Wisconsin throughout her life.
In her early years, Barb was a beautician and homemaker. She enjoyed several hobbies including gardening, sewing, crocheting, and cooking. She loved to attend church activities, spend time with her friends, and most of all loved spending time with her family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019, in the chapel at Catholic Eldercare of Minneapolis, with a visitation from 10:00-11:00am, and service starting at 11:00 am. A reception will be held afterwards at the families residence. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the Alzheimer’s Association. Donations can be made online at, alz.org.
