Sad to hear lovely Barb has left this earth. I have know Barb for close to 40 years. Happy to have had time with her. She was always a natural beauty and loved hiking and having animals in her like. My condolences to her family, friends and coworkers.

I was only with Barb's team for a few weeks before her passing and unfortunately didn't get the chance to really know her. Barb was one of the first people to email me welcoming me to the group and after reading some of these condolences, I know know why. Her spirit will live on and your family continues to be in my prayers.

I remember talking with Barb in the halls at Progressive about the Black Forest fire and her loss. She was always so positive and just faced it head on. She was an inspiration. I am sorry for your loss. She was such a wonderful soul.

I was shocked to hear of Barb's sudden passing. I sat next to her at Progressive for the last few years and enjoyed many conversations with her about faith. She was a wonderfully caring person and I'll miss seeing her at all of our events. You are all in my prayers.

Snowshoing with Barb
Barb and I were the closest of friends for many years. We hiked every weekend we could, sometimes in the snow or rain. She taught me about so many beautiful trails, she had been to them on her own in previous years with (I think) her first Great Dane mix, "Max". She and Max had been through much together, and when Max died, she was beside herself with grief. She soon was able to spread her love to other Danes though! Sydney, then Ziggy - oh how she loved her big babies!
Barb was passionate about her interests, her animals, her friends and her faith. She was beautiful, intelligent, kind, generous and thoughtful - and a hell of a good friend. Once she set her mind to something there was no stopping her, as evidenced by the many successes she had in life.
The photos I am posting are from one of our snow shoe adventures with my sister (also now passed).
Barb was called early and as sad as that makes me, I won't question why. I believe she is with her savior now, watching over us and experiencing a kind of joy that was never possible on this earth.
I will always love you Barb, and I will miss that wonderful friendship and closeness we shared.

I was so saddened by Barb's passing. She and I would often chat about our dogs, hikes, weather, restaurants, and other things going on around Colorado Springs, long after our official meeting times ended. Even though we never officially met in the office, due to us both starting in our new roles during the pandemic, we were able to build a great relationship, virtually, and I'm glad I was able to have this last year with her. She is sorely missed.

I was so sorry to hear about Barb's passing. She was a wonderful member of our Woodmen Valley Chapel Thursday night Bible study. Her love for the Lord was so evident and I know that she is with him know. I will miss her!

I only had the honor and pleasure of meeting Barb through work and being during COVID over video. We shared personal stories and she shared books she suggested I read. I had not read a book in a long time. She brought back the gift of stories to me. All the books we discussed except one were based on strong women. That is how I think of Barb, strong woman with an infectious laugh. I will miss her and so happy to have her for the short time I knew her.
