Barbara's obituary

Barbara Stephens, born on June 13, 1968, sadly passed away on November 14, 2023. Barbara was a pillar of her family, always leading with kindness and positivity. She was someone who lived vibrantly, cherishing moments with her loved ones, and was deeply devoted to her family, which was the cause she cared about the most.

Barbara is survived by her beloved daughters, Tianna Foster and Amanda Taff and her son, Nathan Taff; her cherished grandchildren, Katnyss Wyatt, Iris Taff, and Nathan Taff; her loving siblings, Karen Hurley, Caroline Ruffin, and Jed Paul Fullerton. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, including Eric Hurley, Jed Paul Fullerton, Adam Cummings, Roy Cummings, Tabitha Cummings, Zachary Lance, Joshua Lance, and Tiara Tointigh.

She was predeceased by her parents, Thelma and Jed Fullerton; her niece, Brandi Forester; and her uncles, Robert Fullerton, Joe Buck Fullerton, and Jimmy Ray Fullerton. Barbara was also preceded in death by her Aunt Mary Elaine Fullerton.

Barbara was a woman of simple pleasures. She loved to savor her favorite foods like pea salad and orange chicken. Nothing brought more joy to her day than sipping on Coca Cola or coffee while enjoying her favorite TV shows, including True Crime shows and C.S.I. Barbara enjoyed playing Dominoes and Spades, working crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and she loved going to yard sales, enjoying time outside, and cooking. Her favorite way to exercise was swimming, and she found solace in the beauty of nature, particularly shades of green and orange.

Barbara's impact on those around her was profound. She instilled a sense of kindness and morality in all her loved ones. Her daughter beautifully encapsulated her influence by saying "My mother gave me my roots and my wings. She gave me the fire in my sails. She showered me with wisdom, the ability to know right from wrong, and the moral compass to strive for what I believe in at all costs. I am privileged to carry her lessons with me."

Barbara's legacy will undoubtedly live on through the lessons she imparted and the love she shared. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
