You were an amazing DON when we worked together in Clear Lake. I recall coming into your office for a chat, your doors were open to all and it was so easy to talk to you. You were so kind and thoughtful. I’ll miss you dearly Barbara. May your beautiful soul rest in peace.

So sad to hear of Barb’s passing. She was our neighbor for many years. We had great times together. Deer hunting, playing tricks on each other, celebrating birthdays & many neighborly things. She always laughed about the time our son & neighbor boy knocked on her door & asked her if she would come out to play in the snow with them! She was a true friend & full of kindness & life! Heaven gained an angel. Hugs to you Haddie & Jayden. Diane & Phil Shaw

I worked with Barb when she was in Lincoln, Ne. She was always a fun and very positive person. She was a good person to talk to when dealing with a work issue as she had many years of experience as a nurse. I will miss Barb and the fun conversations we had. RIP Barb.

Barb was an inspiration as a parent and friend. She worked tirelessly to provide for her family and had a great sense of humor. Her work helped uncountable numbers of patients, and she did so with a kind heart, and a gentle touch—in the way that only a dedicated, seasoned, and compassionate nurse can provide. And Barb could sing like an angel! She was cool under stress, and loved the gridiron. She treated her staff with dignity and respect, and she will be missed. Rest in peace, we are all grateful for the time we got to enjoy with you.

I was so sorry to hear about Barbara's passing. She was such a joyful and loving person - a friend from childhood to adulthood. We had so many memories together and were looking forward to retirement adventures. Though she is no longer on this earth and our hearts are broken, I know she is flying high in heaver, having the time of her life. Rest in peace, Barb. You are so loved and missed.

Barb was one of those people who were friends with everyone. She had a heart of gold and would do whatever was needed to help you out. We met in 1980 in Nursing school at Bryan Hospital. We had so much fun there. Barb and I were life long friends. We may not see each other for years but then picked back up where we left off. She placed everyone else before herself. She was smart and kind and a wonderful mother. She loved her children so much! Barb I will miss you! Love you girl!

I’ve known Barb for years! She was always so nice. One of my favorite memories was when she hired someone to take pictures of their kids and I went to her house with my kids and had their pictures taken. Haddie was a little girl! Hugs Haddie ❤️

Oh dear friend Barb, I hold so many memories of watching our kids play, hanging out together on the porch eating popcorn and talking about our day. You always offered a listening ear and something to drink, eat and your endless positivity. I will never forget your chocolate zucchini cake; it was always so delicious. You put your heart into everything you did and at the same time showed your kids how to be hard working, driven, and successful. You loved your kids more than anything in the world and this world is better because you were in it. Love you friend, until we meet again.

Barb literally was one of the SMARTEST ladies I knew!!! She was always working on nursing school to better her career journey. She also holds a special place in my heart for giving me my best friend, teaching her to overcome anything holding her back and being a listening ear! I vented to Barb multiple times and she gave the best advice!! I will miss being at Haddies and getting to pop into her and her mom’s facetime convos. She also made me laugh. Heaven is so lucky 🩷

Barb was more then just my beautiful girlfriends mother she was also my mother. she made me happy and laugh and loved my goofiness around . She was an angel that was sent down long ago to help others and push good in the world and it worked. She brought joy to everyone around and cared about everyone no matter if she was mad or upset she never stopped caring. She was the light out drawing people closer to meet her. You will always be loved and missed. Now set flight with those gorgeous wings and watch over everyone continuing to steer them in the right path

I loved working with your Mom. She always encouraged me to go back to school. Thanks to your Mom I am working on my Certification. I told her I was too old. Your Mom said "Your only 50! I am 63, you can do this Ava!" I respected your Mom alot and enjoyed working for her and am heart broken 💔. If you kiddos ever need anything please call me 505 387 9167. Sending my prayers and comforting thoughts and hugs to the entire family at this time.

To Barb,
We spoke every day, countless times, and now the silence feels heavier than words can express. I still catch myself waiting for my phone to ring, expecting to see your name, to hear your voice—but that moment will never come again. And with that loss comes an emptiness that lingers.
You were more than a leader; you were a mentor, a guide, a force of steadiness in the ever-changing currents of our days. Your wisdom shaped those around you, your kindness lifted others, and your presence made even the most challenging moments feel manageable. You led not just with knowledge, but with heart.
Though you are gone, your lessons remain—woven into the way we work, the way we lead, the way we carry forward what you taught us. Your influence is not lost; it echoes in the lives you touched, in the people you inspired.
Barb, you will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Your legacy lives on.
