Background
I am writing this on behalf of my father, John Prebis. My dad has spent the last five years being my grandmother's sole care provider and dedicating his life to taking care of Barbara ( his mother) since the stroke she suffered in 2015.
My Dad, chose to keep my grandmother at home, instead placing her in a nursing home , so she was able to live her life out around family and pass peacefully at her home. However, his selfless decision to do this came with a cost of his personal health and financial stress.
After sacrificing his own well being and health for the last five years, I would like to see my Dad have some financial reprieve as well as have the ability to take care of his own health. Possibly have some extra to take a much needed and well deserved vacation.
Thank you for considering a donation to Barbara's son and family. My grandmother always went above and beyond for her family, whatever she had she would always to give her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. I know if she could have given my Dad the means to take care of himself and give himself a break she would have. I have seen his struggle firsthand and there is no one more deserving then my Dad to be able to take some time for some much needed "self care" and to have a financial reprieve from the monetary stress he has endured .
