I just became aware of Barb's passing and am greatly saddened. Barb and I met when we were 16 and in high school and initially bonded over our love of music and quickly became close. Although we both moved away from the Chicago area, we kept in touch via mail and email through the years. She visited us in Tucson a few years ago when she made a road trip. She was intellectually inquisitive about many areas of thought, including religion, and was a very loving, caring person. Her loss will be felt by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
