Background
After 12 years with Alzheimer's disease, my mother, Polly, was not able to feed herself, sit or stand without assistance. At-home care was no longer a viable option. I was concerned about finding a place that would provide Mom with respect, dignity and love. As I researched all options, 5-star rated River Garden was clearly the best choice. During the 3-1/2 years Mom was a River Garden resident, she was surrounded by love and care. The team involved my Mom in activities, indulged her love for music and got her dancing in her wheelchair. I will be forever grateful for the caring professionalism of the River Garden staff and volunteers.
