Background
Nothing has prepared us for this immense feeling of loss and sorrow as we deal with the unexpected passing of our Mom, Barbara Kim Phillips. Barbara passed away on January 13th, 2022, at the early age of 61, due to complications from a stroke. Barbara leaves behind 5 children and 28 grandchildren; she was a widow and her final wishes were that her remains be placed next to her husband's, who precedes her by several years. The sudden passing of our Mom has left us devastated. We appreciate your kindness and sympathy during this time.
We really want to honor Barbara's final wishes and we would also like to celebrate her life with a modest memorial service. We ask those who wish to offer condolences and support, that in lieu of flowers, you consider making a monetary donation to Barbara's Cremation & Memorial fund. Our family would appreciate any donation, big or small, to help us to carry out our mothers final wishes, and there are several ways to make a contribution. Donations can be made through Everloved, or you may donate directly to Barbara's eldest daughter, Jessica Ysidron, who's contact information will be provided.
The memorial service will be held at Mish Funeral Home in North Bakersfield. The date for the memorial and repast to follow, will be announced once the date has been set.
