Born and raised in the same house, shared wonderful grandparents, spent almost

every Sunday eating Italian food at Grandma Lucy's dining room table. Sad to lose

my cousin Barbara.

We cherish many memories of Barbara… her big smile, warm hugs and hearty laugh. She would sometimes seem to be journeying into deep thought, from which would emerge a provocative question. She had a big impact on younger women, sharing love, encouragement, prayer, and helping them see the deeper connections of God and everyday life. She always sought more of God and more of life. We will miss her.

When I first moved to Holyoke, MA, I was a single mother or 3, who worked and was a full -time college student. I needed extra money so I posted an ad on Craigslist offering cleaning services to local residents. Barbara called me, shared her story with me and we immediately became friends. God used her to teach me so many things, but especially the importance of taking care of my health and appreciating my sight. Most of us are born with our senses and since every day they are available to us, we take them for granted. Barbara was a beautiful soul who lived by faith and inspired others to live by it as well. She was an example of determination, perseverance and resilience. My boys and I will miss her very much, but she will forever live in our hearts. Till next time, Barb. We love you.
We are so thankful to have known Barbara and to develop a friendship over the years.  Even when I moved away to NH, Barbara and  I kept in touch and I always looked forward to our phone call and times of encouraging one another.  We supported each other through times of joy, grief and loss through prayers and mutual love of the Bible.  I credit many of Barbara’s prayers and her faith for inspiring me to believe God for our 6th child.  I was well into my 40’s and had multiple miscarriages but Barbara believed God with me for the child I felt deeply was still yet to be born.  She was a joy and and inspiration and will continue to live on as that to so many.  Thinking of Bob and all her children and grandchildren during this time.  God bless!   Love, Bonnie and Gary Reiff

Peace and grace to the Olmstead family, the Lighthouse family, friends and neighbors! It was our honor to oversee Bob and Barbara as elders and then as senior pastors for many years. Bob, you served your dear wife with patience and loving care; no regrets. You have been a godly example of what a loving and selfless husband is. Thank you!

We love how Barbara loved her Savior and served Him with her whole heart. She leaves a wonderful legacy to her children and her children’s children. We are so pleased that she was able to be in her granddaughter’s life, albeit too short.

Our joy is to know that Barbara’s eyes were open and her first sight was seeing Jesus face to face. What a thought. So, it’s not goodbye, but see you later, Barbara.   Steve and Mary

I’m so sorry to hear of Barb’s passing. She shined with the love of God. It was  a blessing to be in her presence.   See you on the better side Barb.

My heart is so sad, but at the same time, so happy that I had the chance to know Barbara.  Knowing that someone we care about is no longer here, is always a heartache, but Barbara’s beautiful spirit will always remain with all who loved her.  I loved so much to talk with her and to share stories.  She had such a wonderful, beautiful soul.  May you all find comfort her strength of spirit and her unwavering faith.  May all of your beloved  memories guide you through this time.   My blessing and thoughts go out to you all.  Barbara, I love ya❤️
